人保公司在城乡开办的团体人身险附加住院医疗保险业务使党政机关和企事业的广大干部、职工病有所医,解除了他们的后顾之忧。这对稳定社会秩序,促进经济发展起了重要的作用。但从全国范围来看,人保公司多年来所承保的附加住院医疗保险的经营状况并不容乐观。有的省份及地区倒挂现象极其严重,直接影响人保公司的经济效益。
