5HZ—0.5型柱室式干燥机由广东省农机所、广东省韶关地区农机所和英德县农机所共同研制的。1981年夏秋两季用该机试验烘干稻谷8万多斤。1982年2月通过了技术鉴定。研究该机型的主要目的是:保持平谷床干燥机的优点,克服其干燥不均匀、劳动条件差、占地面积较大等缺点,并可流动作业。该机主要特点 1.烘干稻谷采取热风换向干燥工艺,即分别从矩形立式谷柱左右两侧,定时换向送入热风对谷物加热烘干。它以热风左右换向各一次为一个阶段,整个烘谷过程可分为几个干燥阶段来完成。经过若干个干燥阶段,全谷层的降水就趋于平
