今年“两会”上,温家宝总理在政府工作报告中强调指出:“要把发展职业教育放在更加突出的位置,使教育真正成为面向全社会的教育,这是一项重大变革和历史任务。”“十一五”期间,中央财政将安排100亿元用于加强职业教育基础能力建设。劳动和社会保障部调查显示:目前我国有技术工人约7000万人,高级技工仅占技工总数的4%,这与发达国家高级技工30%至40%的比例相去甚远。社会对职业教育毕业生的需求,让职业院校学生维持了就业率,也让职业院校成为高考独木桥旁的一条坦途,吸引了很多学生报考,进而使中国职业教育进入了快车道。近年来,国家有关经济社会以及职业教育发展改革一系列重大方针、政策的出台,对于我国职业技术教育事业发展的推动作用日益增强。职业教育受到前所未有的重视,得到前所未有的发展,人们欣喜地看到,职业教育已经驶入希望之海。
