近日,北京少儿图书馆与太极计算机公司签订了该馆的网络丁程建设合同。北京市少儿图书馆位于国家重点文物保护地的国子监,是全市少年儿童从事读书活动的重要场所。目前针对少年儿童这个重要的读者群而建立的文化读物资源,并没有实现充分合理的利用,远远不能满足少年儿童的迫切需要。所以,尽快建立数字图书馆,通过网络为北京乃至全国的少年儿童提供内容广泛、健康向上的文化读物,就成为包括北京少儿图书馆在内的全国图书馆的一项迫在眉睫的重要建设任务。

At present, the cultural reading resources established for this important group of children and adolescents have not been fully and reasonably utilized and are far from meeting the urgent needs of children and adolescents. Therefore, setting up a digital library as soon as possible and providing a wide range of healthy books for children in Beijing and the whole country via the Internet have become an urgent and important task of building a national library, including the Beijing Children’s Library.
