The authors used digoxin monoclonal antibody (Dig-McAb) Fab fragments and IgG were treated for the success of severe digoxin poisoning in monkeys. Control monkey with irrelevant McAb died of ventricular fibrillation within a short time. Treatment of living monkeys Digoxigenin in Dig-McAb effective, doubled and extended half-life. There was no corresponding anti-antibody in the blood after Fab fragment treatment. This indicates that the Dig-McAb Fab fragment is safe and rapid for relieving severe digoxin poisoning in monkeys
