CI announced that it is increasing its methyl chloride production capacity in Runcorn, UK, from 170kt/a to 200kt/a (costing 4.4 million US dollars), and then to 225kt/a. Dow also announced that it will invest 10 million U.S. dollars to increase its methyl chloride production capacity by 45 kt/a.
