今年10月6日是我校75周年校庆。我校的前身华西协合大学(以下简称华大)开办于1910年,初设文、理科,1914年增设医科,1919年添设牙科,1932午又设制药系。公共卫生学系在解放后才建成专业,开始招生。由于华大以医学著称,牙科享誉,故在1952年全国院系专业调整中,调入重庆大学医学院的绝大部分师生,1955年又分别调入山东和浙江医学院的药学系和卫生系的部分师生,使之成为一所重点医学院,并发展为今日的华西医科大学。
October 6 this year is the 75th anniversary of my school. The predecessor of our school, Huaxi Union University (hereinafter referred to as Huada) was established in 1910 with initial texts and sciences. In 1914, there was an additional medical department. In 1919, dentistry was added. In 1932, a department of medicine was established. Department of Public Health was built after the liberation of professionals, began enrollment. As China is famous for its medicine, dental reputation, so in 1952 the national department of professional adjustment, transferred to Chongqing University School of Medicine, most of the teachers and students were transferred in 1955, Shandong and Zhejiang Medical College Department of Pharmacy and Health Department of teachers and students, making it a key medical school, and the development of today's West China Medical University.
