90年代末,美国经济在高科技的神话下,吸引了巨额外资的流入,支持着美国的经济增长、股市飞涨和美元的强势地位。而这些因素互促互动,促使美国经济整体上形成“良性循环”。但随着高科技神话的破灭,美国经济中一些潜在的问题一一暴露出来。目前看来,美国经济面临五大忧患,逐渐从“良性循环”转为“恶性循环”。
In the late 1990s, the U.S. economy, under the high-tech mythology, attracted the inflow of huge amounts of foreign capital and supported the U.S. economic growth, the stock market soaring, and the strong position of the U.S. dollar. These factors interact with each other and promote a “virtuous circle” in the U.S. economy as a whole. But with the disintegration of high-tech myths, some potential problems in the U.S. economy are exposed. At present, the U.S. economy is facing five major worries and has gradually shifted from a “virtuous circle” to a “vicious circle.”
