江泽民总书记今天在中南海与出席全国宣传部长会议的同志座谈时指出,各级党委要充分看到在新的历史时期宣传思想工作的重要性,要以邓小平建设有中国特色社会主义理论为指针,切实加强对思想工作的领导,把精神文明建设放到更加突出的地位,进一步把“以科学理论武装人,以正确舆论引导人,以高尚精神塑造人,以优秀作品鼓舞人”贯彻落实到宣传思想战线的各项工作中去,为经济建设和社会进步提供有力保证。为促进物质文明和精神文明协调发展,中央确定,把精神文明建设主要是思想道德文明建设作为十四届六中全会的主要议题。
