10月10日应李炜单位管行政的老板夫妇之邀,今天我们全家去昆士兰大学校园同他们共同野餐。按西方习惯,我们虽是受人邀请,食品还是要自备的。李炜买了水果和饮料,小月做了“三明治”,还烤了一个大蛋糕。我们同老板夫妇在昆士兰大学校园里一个美丽的草坪上聚会,老板夫妇也带来不少食品,我们把食品放在一张桌子上共同食用。小月把我们从国内带去的一小筒云南茶送给他们。我指着筒上的“皇后茶”三个字向他们解释其含意,老板笑指其妻:皇后是她!
On October 10, at the invitation of our husband and wife management unit of Li Wei, today our family went to the University of Queensland to picnic with them. According to the western habit, though we are invited by people, food should be prepared by ourselves. Li Wei bought fruit and drinks, Satsuki made a “sandwich”, but also baked a big cake. We meet with our boss and wife on a beautiful lawn on the campus of the University of Queensland. Boss and wife also bring a lot of food. We put the food on a table for common use. Satsuki brought us a small bowl of Yunnan tea brought from China. I pointed to the barrel of the “queen” three words to explain their meaning to them, the boss laughing refers to his wife: the Queen is her!
