黄冈奥康兴汇影城由湖北省电影公司、香港百老汇、黄冈市电影公司和香港美亚公司四家单位投资390万元建成的现代化多厅影院。影院共有4个厅620个座位,经营面积1800平方米,由四个投资公司联合成立的影院股份公司负责运营,现有职工29人,其中大专以上学历13人,平均年龄27岁。影城于2007年元旦正式投入运营,当年就实现票房收入206万元;2008年的票房收入达到了285万元;2009年全年共实现票房402万余元;2010年截止10月份票房已达563万元;影院票房每年增长40%以上,取得了较为理想的经济效益和社会
