一九四九年四月四日,美国帝国主义与它的仆从加拿大、英国、法国、比利时、荷阑、卢森堡、冰岛、挪威、丹麦、意大利和葡萄牙在华盛顿签订了一个北大西洋公约。到今天,整整一年半的时间过去了。这一年半来,在帝国主义阵营方面,天天叫嚣吵嚷、阴谋活动,企图挑拨新的大战来挽救其自身的灭亡。特别自从今年六月底超,美帝侵略者发动侵略朝鲜战争,并陷入这个战争的泥淖中以来,大小帝国主义国家一齐扩充军备、增加军事预算。从杜鲁门、艾奇逊一直到舒曼、阿登纳,所有华尔街大小喽啰们都患了无可救蘗的战争歇斯底里亚。没有一个帝国主义国家不是自私自利的,北大西洋公约虽然把大小帝国主义国家在反共反苏联反人民的战争歇斯底里亚中统一起来,但是实际上这个公约是一个为美国帝国主义服务的侵略联盟,是建筑在美国帝国主义者对签约的仆从国家们加紧作政治、经济和军事的奴役之上的。因此,这个公约正和一切资本主义国家之间任何政治、经济、外交的关系一样。也包含着不可克服的矛盾。
On April 4, 1949, the U.S. imperialists signed a North Atlantic convention in Washington with its belligerents Canada, the United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Netherland, Luxembourg, Iceland, Norway, Denmark, Italy and Portugal.
