我队钻机用的是14.5米角铁钻塔.过去立塔所用的挑杆,就是用杉木或水管,绑在塔腿上,既笨重又不安全.现在我们是这样改进的:在每层(四个角)的塔腿上,都安上能拆卸的活动夹板(包括专插挑杆的套筒——挑杆座),立塔时,将挑杆底部插入套筒,挑杆上端装有滑轮,利用其滑轮,便能方便地提升塔料.立完一层,就拔出挑秆,插到上一层的套筒中去,依此逐层上升.这样,由于每层可从四面上塔料,立塔的工效就大大提高了.夹板及套筒,1~5层每层四付,第六层因作业范围小,可只用两付就够了,所以每塔配用的挑杆夹板及套筒是22付.装有滑轮的挑杆可选用φ42的钻杆,长约2.8米.每座钻塔配四根.
