Founded in 2003 by The Wall Street Journal, the “D: All Things Digital” forum was once the top annual event in the field of ICT. Unfortunately, D7 held during the Dragon Boat Festival this year, there is no old Gates and Ballmer on the same stage, less Murdoch and Jerry Yang’s rivalry, the lack of FCC and Verizon’s tit for tat, Sony, Amazon, Facebook, Hulu and other big names in the industry have also absent, inevitably giving a kind of “Merry always wind and rain to ” sense of loneliness. But even so, this forum can bring some rare messages as well. And those thought-provoking tech and media tycoons often can also satisfy the audience’s desire with subtle on-the-spot reactions.
