迄今为止 ,我们对赛珍珠非小说作品的研究仍须加强和深入。赛珍珠的中国小说研究是其非小说作品中的一个重要部分。在《中国早期小说源流》中 ,赛珍珠从历史入手 ,追根溯源 ,客观地研究中国小说的起源和历史发展过程 ,使自己的研究深入到不同民族的文化精神层面 ;她采用比较的方法 ,将研究对象置于世界文学的参照系中 ,公正地品评其得失 ;同时 ,她的研究也体现出一种健康的文化心态和良好的跨文化素质。凡此种种 ,对于人们从事跨文化研究均有很深的启示。
So far, we still need to strengthen and deepen our research on Pearl S. Buck’s non-fiction works. Pearl S. Buck’s study of Chinese novels is an important part of his non-fiction works. In “The Origins of Early Chinese Fiction”, Pearl S.
