2003年,北京建都850周年。北京城已经存在了3000多年的历史,说850周年,是从金中都建都开始算起。金中都建都北京没几年元朝就开始了。金中都时期的遗址现在已经找寻不到,但元代遗址仍有所保留。那么现今的北京还能找到几处元代的历史印记呢?只有两处:其一:2003年6月18日,元大都土城遗址公园(海淀区)建成开园。其中的水关,被评述为极为值得一看的“真文物”。其二:位于西四的砖塔胡同及万松老人塔。元大都的水关已被保护起来了,那么砖塔胡同的命运又如何呢?
