In the Leaping Criticism, our purpose is to read Marx through Karl Marx and through Kant. Of course, this does not mean that Kant and Marx are compared, and the two thinkers can not be compared side by side. There is also a Hegel between Kant and Marx. So Reading Kant through Kant and reading Kant through Marx all read Hegel in two directions: “before” and “after”. In other words, we can say that the leapfrog critique is an effort to re-criticize Hegel. Around 1990, I felt the urgency of making such a critique. Eastern Europe was drastic and the Soviet Union collapsed. I began to write about Kant’s writings. In the preface to “Leaping Criticism,” I talked about this period. Let me now make a discussion on this issue again.
