姊妹染色单体互换(SCE)是指分裂中期相细胞染色体的两条姊妹染色单体之间发生等位点、同源片段的对称性互换。由于是完全对称性互换,结果并不改变染色体的整个外形,因此,在常规染色体畸变(CA)分析中,往往观察不到SCE变化,但是,采用特殊分化染色法,可使一对姊妹染色单体染上深浅不同颜色,就能在光镜下清晰地看到姊妹染色单体之间发生的互换。
