从宁波第一份报纸——《中外新报》创刊,到1949年5月宁波解放,近百年间宁波曾出现200多种报刊,其中商界报刊在宁波报业中占有重要的地位。宁波夙称五口通商大埠之一,浙东各地工农业产品的主要集散地,甬人以善于经商而闻名。宁波在唐代已初具城市规模,到了鸦片战争之后的19世纪60年代,已形成了以南北货、钱庄、鱼行、药行等商业网络。宁波工农业与商业的发展,促使宁波部分中外企业主和商人,要求有代表商界利益的报纸,俾使商界有发表言论之地,所以他们以合股的形式,或个人独资,陆续办起了几家商界报刊。19世纪末创刊的《德商甬报》,以较多的篇幅刊载宁波各业市场行情和宁波港口货物的进出口情况而被称为宁波商界报纸的“鼻祖”。本世纪20——30年代又出现了《市情日刊》《商情日刊》(后改《商情日报》)《鄞县商业日报》《宁商周刊》和《宁波商报》等。这些报刊除刊登一些国内外政治、文化时事新闻外,主要报道经济新闻和刊登各
From the founding of Ningbo Daily News, the first newspaper of Ningbo, to the liberation of Ningbo in May 1949, there were over 200 kinds of newspapers and periodicals in Ningbo in the past hundred years. Commercial newspapers and periodicals occupied an important position in the newspaper industry in Ningbo. Ningbo, known as one of the five ports of commerce, is the main distribution center for agricultural and industrial products in eastern Zhejiang, and Ningbo is known for its good business. Ningbo had begun to take on a city scale in the Tang Dynasty. By the 1860s after the Opium War, commercial networks such as North and South Stock Exchanges, banks, fish banks and drug companies were formed. The development of industry, agriculture and commerce in Ningbo has prompted some Chinese and foreign business owners and businessmen in Ningbo to request newspapers that represent the interests of the business community in order to allow the business sector to express their opinions.
