法国“西北风”级新型两栖突击舰的首舰“西北风”号已于2004年10 月在布雷斯特海军造船厂建成下水,预定2005年6月服役。该级舰的另外一艘名为“托奈尔”(TONNERRE)的预计将于2006年6月服役。这两艘舰将用来替代目前正在法国海军服役的2艘“暴风”级船坞登陆舰。该级舰的满载排水量21500吨,全长199米,宽32米,吃水6.2米。主机为柴电联合动力装置,双轴,功率15000千瓦,航速19节。武器装备有 2套防空导弹发射装置,2门30毫米和20毫米单管自动炮,2～4挺12.7毫米机枪,16架直升机。该舰还可以同时搭载450名登陆队员。
The first “Northwest Wind” of the French “Northwest Wind” class new amphibious assault ship was launched at the Brest Naval Shipyard in October 2004 and is scheduled to serve in June 2005. Another ship of the class known as TONNERRE is expected to be commissioned in June 2006. The two ships will be used to replace the two “storm” class dock landing ships currently serving in the French Navy. The class ship’s full load displacement of 21,500 tons, a total length of 199 meters, 32 meters wide, 6.2 meters draft. Host for the combined power plant diesel, two-axis, power 15,000 kilowatts, 19 knots speed. Weapons equipped with two sets of anti-aircraft missile launchers, two 30 mm and 20 mm single-barrel automatic guns, 2 to 4 12.7 mm machine guns, 16 helicopters. The ship can also carry 450 landing team members.
