In this paper, the fracture behavior of 00Ni10Cr10Mo2Ti martensitic stainless steel has been investigated by dynamic fracture test. The results show that there is a ductile-brittle transition at -196 ℃. The fracture was analyzed by scanning electron microscopy to determine three basic fracture mechanisms: (1) quasi-shear deformation, (2) dimples, and (3) quasi-cleavage. The relationships between these mechanisms and the tissue and experimental temperatures were discussed. The quantitative analysis of the fracture is made and the typical fracture toughness of the corresponding fracture mechanism is obtained.
