6月13日,在多位文史专家的见证下,北京市通州区于五河交汇处立下了“京杭大运河北起点”标志碑,正式确立通州为京杭大运河北起点。除设立标志碑,通州区还举行多项活动,倡导群众参与保护运河文化遗产。活动当天,通州区为永顺镇中心校大运河保护志愿班授“通州区大运河保护志愿班”旗帜,学生代表宣读“保护运河”志愿书。同时邀请天津市西青区、河北省香河县文化文物部门共同发起京津冀保护运河联合倡议,呼吁运河沿线城
On June 13, witnessed by many experts from the history and literature, Tongzhou District of Beijing established the “Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal North Start Point” landmark monument at the Wuhe Interchange and formally established Tongzhou as the starting point for the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal.
