熊秉明先生的作品将要在北京中国美术馆展出了,这是大家期待已久的。熊先生旅居法国50余年,但在人们的心目中,他是一位具有中国传统精神的艺术家。虽然他精通西方文化,尤其对西方哲学有很深的研究,并深受西方艺术的熏陶,他创造的艺术品在形态上也相当西化,可是他的心始终在中国。他的传统文化根底太深太深,以至他理解和接受的西方文化是经过他的中国心灵过滤了的,染上了中国色彩的。我真不知道,在熊先生那里,西方文化与中国传统文化,究竟哪个占据着更大的比重?在他的内心世界里,究竟偏向哪一方?我只朦胧地感觉到,在熊先生身上东方和西方的概念模糊了,不清晰了。他站在哲学的高度看待东西方的交融、矛盾和冲撞,看待它们之间的同与异。他冷静而理智地分析差异的一面,并敏锐、机智地发掘着它们之间的共同点。他的艺术还有他的论著,都贯穿着这种精神。他热情评价亚里斯多德、苏格拉底、康德、黑
