党的十一届三中全会以来,随着我国档案事业和城市建设的发展,城建档案工作也有了较快的发展,城建档案的作用也日益显示了出来。正因为如此,城建档案工作也越来越被更多的人所重视,而且已经取得了突破性的进展。全国近150个大中城市中,已建立城建档案馆的有122个,这些城建档案馆大多数都配备了相应的工作人员和设备,不少大中城市的城建档案馆还建了新的馆库,大部分城市都以市政府的名义发布了城建档案管理办法、制度,使城建档案工作开始纳入了城市建设和城市管理的正常轨道;多数城建档案馆做了大量的、具体的工作,深入到有关基层单位了解情况,进行业务指导,并已开始接收一批档案进馆;有些城建档案馆为城市规划、建设、管理工
