Radiography has started to be performed intravenously since 1931. Uroselectan was originally used for urography. Fifty years from now, many radiological examinations and contrast agents have become an indispensable aid. Because contrast media can most effectively improve the sensitivity and specificity of radiological examinations. Uroselectan is a monocyclic ionic contrast agent containing only one iodine per salt molecule.
