采用特殊的电解着色技术,诸如表面预处理、在碱性电解液中对18-8型奥氏体不锈钢电解着色及用稳定剂使表面经受后处理等,在实验室制得各种颜色(红、橙、黄、绿、兰、紫)。业已发现,其不同的色彩来源于不同厚度的氧化薄膜,后者系由阳极氧化反应形成的。经XPS及AES测定后证实,此氧化薄膜为层状结构,其最表层为Fe_2O_3·NiO,而次层为Fe_2O_3·NiO·Cr_2O_3 。同时通过测定还证实了这些不同色彩的不锈钢其抗腐蚀性均较通常不锈钢为高。
