On June 4， China’s Ministry of Supervision announced through its official website that Anhui’s former vice governor Ni Fake was put under investigation due to possible malpractices.
Ni Fake was removed from position as the vice governor of Anhui in January 2013. In China， governmental officials at the provincial level usually retire at the age of 65， but Ni Fake， 59， left the position and did not take any other positions. This unusual thing raised many people’s guesses.
An article named “Premier Zhu Rongji Was Cheated” was reposted and read a lot in the Internet. The man who dared to cheat the former premier of China was said to be Ni Fake.
In 1998， Zhu Rongji， former premier of China， went to Nanling County， Anhui to check the storage of grains. Ni Fake， who was then the Party Secretary of Nanling， led a group of leaders from Anhui Province， Wuhu City （the city governing Nanling） and Nanling to each spot that the premier would go， just one day before his arrival.
Speaking of the case， Premier Zhu Rongji also knew that he was cheated. Before the Spring Festival in 1999， Zhu Rongji said to the governmental officials at State Council that he knew officials of Nanling move the grains from other places to the warehouses， which were empty before his arrival. “They cheated me. How dare they？” The premier complained.
But Premier Zhu Rongji did not make it clear who were that bold to cheat him. Even though there were reports implying that Ni Fake was the chief plotter， no proofs were offered to justify his crime.
