费名瑶生于1948年,浙江定海人,居上海。自幼酷爱书画篆刻,在其祖父费化衣先生启蒙下,有较好的书画基础,“文革”之后专攻篆刻。50年如一日,潜心研习,不求功力,未到花甲之年,技艺渐入炉火纯青之境。自2003年《费名瑶印痕》出版,至今已被公认为中国印坛的篡刻高手。名瑶之印工稳中尽显灵动;粗狂中不逾传统法规。费老的篆刻作品不仅有很高的艺术鉴赏价值还有很高的收藏、升值空间。
Fei Yao was born in 1948, Dinghai, Zhejiang, living in Shanghai. Since childhood, he was very fond of painting and calligraphy and seal cutting. Under the enlightenment of his grandfather, Mr. Fei, there is a good foundation for painting and calligraphy.
