Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) are typical environmental pollutants whose metabolites can specifically bind with DNA to form DNA adducts. Due to the specificity of DNA adducts, biomarkers of PAH exposure are widely used in the evaluation of health risks and have become the molecular level markers most studied and applied in recent years. This article reviews the current detection methods of PAH DNA adducts.
