2003年11月3日,中国现当代著名音乐评论家、音乐教育家、音乐活动家、为我国音乐事业做出卓越贡献的人民音乐家李凌先生,离开了他毕生挚爱的祖国和人民,离开了他为之奋斗大半个世纪的音乐事业,离开了我们——中国乐坛的一盏明灯熄灭了!噩耗传来,令我哀恸不已。李凌先生1913年12月20日出生于广东台山,1938年赴延安进鲁迅艺术学院音乐系学习;1940年在重庆创办《新音乐》月刊;1946年在香港创办香港中华音乐院。新中国成立后,历任中央歌舞团团长、中央乐团团长、中国音乐学院院长、中国函授音乐学院院长、中国音乐家协会副主席。作为一个学者,他是新中国音乐学的奠基
