今天,我们几乎都深信:人脑己一分为二,左右两半球在功能上已高度专门化,如果没有两者间的胼胝体相连,简直就是两个大脑,分别主管着身体的不同部分和不同功能。左半球(左脑)主管着身体右侧部分的感觉、运动以及语言、符号识别、读书、写字、分析、计算、逻辑思维等。右半球(右脑)主管着左半身以及图象、面容识别、感受空间和色彩、欣赏音乐、处理情绪性刺激等。这就是所谓左右脑的分化与交叉作用。其实,大脑分为左右半脑并不是现代人的发现。早在公元前,人们就已有所认识。头部外伤(如战伤)和颅骨切开手术使人们很早就发现人的大脑被一极明显的分界线
