Screw rotor rotor surface is a formed helical surface, and its profile accuracy directly affects the inter-tooth leakage and pump efficiency, the urgent need to improve its accuracy. However, due to its complex shape and high precision, the accuracy detection of such parts has always been a technical key. In this paper, a new method to detect the tooth profile of the screw pump rotor end surface with high accuracy by using the isometric surface principle on a coordinate measuring machine and a new method to determine the tool truncation by using the measured data are proposed. First, the test principle and method used Detector for Japan’s Mitutoyo F604-type three-coordinate measuring machine, the measured rotor transverse on the measuring machine table,
