谷子是我们晋西北广大旱地区的一项主要农作物,但过去一直单产较低,每亩多在150~250kg.进入90年代以来,我们忻州地区农技部门在谷子上连年进行了地膜覆盖高产栽培的试验研究与示范推广,取得了显著的增产效果.在1994年研究与总结出旱地地膜谷子孔穴种法的基础上,近两年又多点安排进行了旱地地膜谷子机械化垄盖沟播法进行大面积试验示范.结果表明,这种模式操作容易、方法简便;起垄、铺膜、播种、镇压能够一次作业完成,省工节本,且抗旱保苗、易促全苗,增产十分显著.亩产多为330~450kg,有的高达500kg以上.平均亩产393kg,比当地对照露地谷子亩增产
