新世纪万象更新。作为具有悠久历史渊源的东阳木雕传统工艺,也在与时俱进,日新月异。为了适应新时代的新思路、新题材的需要,作为木雕技艺本身,也水涨船高,变得愈来愈丰富多彩。由本人发明创造的一种火烧板仿古木雕制作工艺,以及由这种特殊工艺创制的系列作品,近年来在国内各级博览会上露面问世后,在工艺美术同行和专家中引起浓厚兴趣。“一石激起千层浪”。我的“徐氏火烧板木雕工艺画”作品,在1999年至2003年短短五年时间,于北京、上海和杭州的全国性大型工艺品展览会中,即荣获二个金奖,4个银奖。中国工艺美术学会在“新世纪中国工艺美术学会会员精选作品集”系列丛书中,为本人编辑出版了《徐经彬木雕作品精选》专著。为与工艺同仁共同切磋技艺,探索木雕创新路子,现将有关火烧板木雕工艺的几个问题和大家作一次研讨。
