The development of the city and the improvement of people’s living standards have given birth to brand communication. Under the tide of globalization, the cultural and creative industries act on the spread of city branding and integrate culture and economy, providing sufficient impetus to urban development. In urban development, the cultural and creative industries have their unique features and their strengths and weaknesses, which have an important impact on the development of cities with distinctive features. Mainly elaborates the role of cultural and creative industries in city brand communication, and puts forward the problems existing in city brand communication and relevant countermeasures and suggestions.
