阅读作为四项基本技能之一,在英语学习中起着重要作用。而今,人们已经充分意识到:阅读不仅需要学生具有扎实的语言基础知识,还需要掌握一定的阅读技巧和策略;而在运用这些技巧和策略时,要依赖于学生自身所具有的英语语法知识和头脑中储存的文化背景知识,即“图式”(schema)。本文探讨了图式理论对英语阅读理解的指导作用,以期提高学生的阅读理解能力。
Reading as one of the four basic skills in English learning plays an important role. Nowadays, people are fully aware that reading not only requires students to have a solid basic knowledge of language, but also need to master some reading skills and strategies. However, when applying these skills and strategies, they must rely on the students’ own knowledge of English grammar and Cultural background knowledge stored in the mind, ie “schema”. This article explores the guiding role of schema theory in reading comprehension in order to improve students’ reading comprehension.
