3月20日,美国开始向伊拉克发动代号为“斩首行动”的空中打击,3月21日又实施代号为“震慑行动”的持续空袭,众所关注的新海湾战争正式爆发。在连日来的空袭中,美英盟军的海上力量发挥了重要作用,“战斧”巡航导弹及各种类型舰载机充当了空袭的急先锋。现将美英联军海军兵力部署状况及海军参战兵器的使用情况加以介绍。
On March 20, the United States started its air strikes against Iraq entitled “Decapitation Operation” and on March 21 it continued its airstrike, codenamed “Defensive Operations.” The new Gulf War, which has been the focus of attention, officially broke out.
