毒理学研究的目的不仅是要了解外源性化学物的毒性现象,更重要的是要了解其毒性本质。转基因动物的诞生,为了解外源性化合物的毒性本质提供了可能。自从八十年代初美国科学家首次获得带有外源性生长激素基因的“超级鼠”以来,转基因动物已广泛应用于基因调控、基因表达、新药生产、生物育种、毒理学研究等领域。目前转基因动物在毒理学方面的应用包括致突变、致癌,即将进入的领域有衰老、某些疾病的形成机理、致畸及生殖毒性的研究。转基因动物可根据需要导入目的基因,结果其实可靠,敏感性高,节省大量实验开支,必将为毒理学的研究开辟更广阔的前景。
The purpose of toxicology research is not only to understand the toxicity of exogenous chemicals phenomenon, more importantly, to understand the nature of its toxicity. The birth of transgenic animals, to understand the toxic nature of exogenous compounds possible. Since the first scientists in the United States obtained the “Super Rat” with exogenous growth hormone gene in the early 1980s, transgenic animals have been widely used in gene regulation, gene expression, new drug production, biological breeding, toxicology research and other fields. At present, the application of transgenic animals in toxicology includes mutagenesis, carcinogenesis, aging fields to be entered, mechanism of formation of certain diseases, teratogenicity and reproductive toxicity. Transgenic animals can be introduced according to the needs of the target gene, the result is in fact reliable, high sensitivity, saving a lot of experimental expenses, the toxicology will bound to open up a broader perspective.
