品格即艺术的层次,是艺术思想、道德、境界的尺度,而薛林兴所追求的是一种真善美的境界。真是一种知识的范畴,是做人的一个标志,知识的真知,做人的真诚。善是道德,要与人和善,在力所能及的情况下尽量去帮助那些需要帮助的人,这也是对自己人性的一种修炼,一种涵养。人品即艺品,人品不高,其艺术的品格不但不高而且会走向真善美的反面,即假、恶、丑。薛林兴自己有三条规则:一,做事、画画经常反省,审视。把好的东西保持,不好的摈弃。
Character is the level of art, is the art of thought, morality, realm of the scale, and Xue Linxing pursuit of a realm of beauty. Really is a category of knowledge, is a sign of being a man, the true knowledge of knowledge, the truth of life. Good is morals, to be kind with people, to the best of their ability to help those who need help, and this is a practice of human nature, a conservation. Character is art, character is not high, not only the character of his art is not high and will go to the opposite of truth, goodness and beauty, that is, fake, evil, ugly. Xue Linxing own three rules: First, work, painting often reflect on, look. Keep good things, not good to abandon.
