介绍了煤矿掘进巷道锚杆支护技术的不同种类（掘锚机巷道的锚杆支护、悬臂掘进机巷道的锚杆支护、连采机巷道的锚杆支护）及具体应用方法;指出了巷道掘进锚杆支护存在的问题：支护设备的机械化程度较低、支护与掘进作业匹配度较低;针对性地提出优化措施：提高机械化程度及管理水平、提高掘进及支护作业的匹配度。
