Recently, “The Happiness” magazine named the top ten companies in the United States in 1997. Because of its wide coverage, the 10 most outstanding companies can basically reflect the U.S. economy. Since these 10 companies are the best companies in the American corporate world, their performance is also outstanding. For example, spending $10,000 a decade ago to buy stocks from Standard & Poor’s 500 companies and turning the dividends into investments would only get $5,1964 today; buying a stock of any of these 10 outstanding companies would be available US$146,419. Why do these 10 companies have such outstanding performance? The real situation is that a company is the company with the best reputation.
