按一机部科技局（76）技研便字047号及054号函的要求,为适应我国青藏铁路建设需要,在部局和沈阳市机电工业局的领导下,沈阳气体压缩机研究所负责组织,由沈阳空气压缩机配件厂、西安交通大学、西宁高原机电研究所组成赴青藏高原空气压缩机试验组。参加试验组的同志继承伟大领袖和导师毛主席的遗志,发扬艰苦奋斗的革命精神,团结奋战,战胜了气候恶劣和高山缺氧等困难,从一九七六.年八月二十四日起至十一月六日,历时七十五天,先后在沈阳和海拔2260～4900米青藏公路沿线的西宁、热水、格尔木、温泉五个地区进行了空气压缩机各项性能试验,共测取了280多个数据,初步摸清了空气压缩机在高原地区
