杰克·韦尔奇之神韦尔奇之所以成为管理之神,主要因为在企业管理领域的几大杰作。一是诱人的企业增长。在韦尔奇创造的神话里,最吸引中国企业家注意力的一点,就是他能够连续20年掌控GE这个美国老牌企业帝国,并使之古树回春,成为“现代企业”的标准和典范。在成熟的商业社会里,使一个成熟的大型企业在长达20年时间里,保持几乎与美国经济同步同速的增长,20世纪大概只有韦尔奇一人。反思中国的企业,历史和生命周期都不很长,而且很容易垮掉。创业不易,成长更难,中国企业的成长更难。据统计,中国企业的寿命平均只有6～7年。
