Africa’s society and economy are changing due to mobile phones. The continent has almost no cell phones a decade ago, and now almost every two Africans have one. At the end of 2007, Kenya’s controversy over one election triggered riots. Juliana Rorotic, a software engineer living in the capital, Nairobi, hid at home, but she wanted to know what was going on outside. She turned on the TV and found that she was still playing “Mood of Music” with interest. At this time, the neighbor’s house had been rioted.
