Most elements are metal. The metals react with each other to form many intermetallics (intermetallics). Intermetallics of rare earths and actinides are particularly prevalent. It is known that there are more than a thousand kinds of intermetallic compounds containing rare earth elements. Intermetallics containing thorium and uranium
