The installation of the Paris Art Deco Fair in 1925 is undoubtedly an important political event for the aftermath of the end of World War I and for everything to be done. How to maintain France’s absolute leadership in the art of decoration in the mechanization industry and to transform this leadership position into political glory and commercial advantage is at the core of the Expo organizers. By examining the spatial layout and exhibition logic of the expo, this article analyzes the relationship between the decorative art style and French national political culture. From the Art Deco style of taste control to the colonial pavilion’s mixed-style show, we can all see the French government’s cultural ambitions in this Expo.
