In 1982, the seed company of Hubei Province and the Academy of Agricultural Science and Foodstuffs Institute jointly formulated the “Test varieties, test plans, documented projects and standards for testing of maize varieties” (referred to as the three standards). In the experiment, the disease resistance, fertility, fertility identification and hybrid seed production and standard production model of parental inbred lines were arranged interactively for the varieties (combinations) with good performance, which provided sufficient information for the comprehensive evaluation of the varieties
