又是雅典！1896年首届现代夏季奥运会曾在这里举行,时隔108年,第28届奥运会于2004年8月13日又将在这里拉开帷幕。百余年来,奥林匹克运动发生了翻天覆地的变化,由弱小到辉煌,由鲜为人知到举世瞩目。当奥运圣火熊熊燃起时,人们会情不自禁地追忆百年奥运的风雨历程,怀念那些为奥运作过杰出贡献的先辈,同时对活跃在今日奥运舞台上的精英深表崇敬。
Athens again! The first modern summer Olympic Games in 1896 was held here, after a lapse of 108 years, the 28th Olympic Games will be held again here on August 13, 2004. Over the past hundred years, the Olympic Movement has undergone tremendous changes. From a small to a brilliant one, it has been noticed that the world has attracted worldwide attention. When the Olympic flame is on, people can not help but recall the stormy course of the century-long Olympic Games, miss those who made outstanding contributions to the Olympic Games, and revere the elites active in today’s Olympic arena.
