本刊讯9月11日,台泥“品”学堂公益行动项目启动仪式在广东英德市城北小学和重庆合川盐井小学同时举行。该项目是台泥进入大陆市场十年来首个针对儿童教育议题的公益活动,通过向学校近百名贫困、单亲、孤儿或留守的四至六年级学生提供免费营养餐食,并开设每周两次的英语和电脑课外兴趣班,旨在改善儿童营养,拓展当地学习资源,促进贫困、弱势学生的身心全面发展。在英德站的活动中,英德市副市长罗振
On September 11, the launching ceremony of Tachai “Products ” School Philanthropy Action Project was held at Chengbei Primary School in Yingde, Guangdong Province and Salt River Primary School in Hechuan, Chongqing. The project is Thammasat’s first charity to tackle the issue of children’s education in the mainland market in the past 10 years. It provides free nutritious meals to nearly 100 poor, single parents, orphaned or left-behind students in the school with weekly bimonthly English and computer extra-curricular interest classes aimed at improving children’s nutrition, expanding local learning resources and promoting the comprehensive development of poor and disadvantaged students.
