植物研究所创办迄今,已有六个年头了。图书仪器,逐年在困难中添置,已可敷用。研究人员现有三十人。研究范围是多方面的:分类、森林、真菌、藻类、生理、细胞遗传和形态学,包括了植物学中各个重要的分科。歷年研究所得,写成论文,发表於植物所刊行的「植物学彙报」(英文),至今已发行三年。解放以前,各研究室独自研究,在学术上也许有过一些成就,可是没有整个计划,很少合作,并与实际脱节。解放战争带来了科学为人民服
Plant Research Institute has so far been established for six years. Book equipment, acquired in difficulty every year, has been able to apply. The researchers now have 30 people. The scope of the study is multifaceted: taxonomic, forest, fungal, algal, physiological, cytogenetic and morphological, including all important branches of botany. Years of research, written papers, published in botanic botanic report (English), has been issued for three years. Before the liberation, the laboratories alone studied, there may be some academic achievements, but without the entire plan, little cooperation, and out of touch with reality.
